Another day, some more progress.

I'm bad at creating habits that aren't regular enough. I promised to start writing weekly entries in Japanese. And I've half succeeded. I don't really have a firm schedule and I missed a week. I haven't quit yet. But, it bothers me when I procrastinate and ruin something. I'm still working on how to deliver on that.

Should I really write once a week? Or should I try for more often? Should I set goals for amount of content? Should I set goals for improvement?

I'm not sweating those things right now. What I have noticed is that with just 2 entries under my belt, I'm already actively thinking a lot more in Japanese. So, it is working on some level.

I've also kicked up my Anki decks into high gear. I'm being yet more critical. I'm modifying my Stardew Valley deck to provide me with target words and phrases and I'm using my regular decks a lot more vindictively.

The manga and anime initiatives are where things are REALLY hurting. エカ娘 is a painful heap of trash for me and I feel compelled to get through it. I'm WELL ahead of my normal monthly pace though. But, I feel like I could easily be done everything already if I simply pushed myself through it.

Anime is certainly more enjoyable. But, when work is busy, even putting it on the background and hoping to catch enough to be of any value is hard. I'm actually getting less of this done than I am manga.

I'm starting to think I need to focus on quality over quantity for the Anime/movie kick. Maybe find the ones I have both Japanese audio and subs for and use those as my means of practising listening and reading.
