Pixel Watch Theories
I'm on a roll with tech posts today.
Just came across this. I'm surprised these rumors are still swirling. Google has actually publicly denied that there would be a Pixel Watch this year.
At least with the crazy theories about the Pixel 3 XL and it's notch, Google has provided no public comment.
At the time Google shot this rumor down there were still more than 4 months left in the year. More than a full fiscal quarter. To be sure that there would be no such launch this soon is pretty confident. To me, it says, even if Google is working on such a device, that it isn't anywhere near production ready. They may not have even finalized designs or components.
To me, the odds that it would be unveiled along side the Pixel 3 and 3 XL in a few weeks are pretty low. Even if the Watch were unveiled at this event and not actually released until 2019 Google's PR machine would likely have to answer questions about this earlier information. At the very least, it would be confusing even if technically accurate.
A refresh on the Pixel Buds on the other hand. Also no leaks. But, also no denials (that I'm currently aware of).
