If the reason Lenovo feels that they don't need a Windows Phone device is because Office is available on Android, then the implication is that Office is a valuable piece of software.
It also means users will remain locked into the Microsoft ecosystem, and such users are also more likely to own a Windows PC than a Chromebook or Mac product.
So, it buys time for Microsoft to fix their brand and image. It also means fewer OEMs being reported as failing at making Windows Phones. Good all around.
