"Switch to Mac" IS NOT a solution to avoiding upgrading to Windows 8.1 or 10
Just smash your face into your keyboard and walk away if you are tempted to respond with this. Because if this is your knee-jerk reaction to complaints about others upgrading Windows, then you are catastrophically brain damaged.
The solution to a UX change in an OS is NOT to change to an entirely different OS which also has a different UX. And, in addition many of the programs you're used to using and perhaps even peripherals won't work either.
If I read this suggestion on another forum I may explode.
The argument is equivalent telling someone who doesn't want to eat cyanide for fears they'll die to massively OD on heroine instead. If you're that mortally afraid of switching to Windows 8 or 10 because the UX will change a bit, how in the name of all that is right is completely changing OS's any better?
Have people actually forgotten how to use their brains?
