Windows 10 Phone features may vary?
Reading articles like this you'd think Microsoft had actually said something specific about will and won't be included in the OS for different devices. But of course, they haven't. I really hate when people jump the gun and make assumptions. There as been another MUCH MORE feasible explanation floating around for the choice of language here. Hardware support.
I don't honestly think MS has any efforts to intentionally nerf any handsets. A device without sensor core can't make use of many of the fitness apps or their features. If those are baked into the OS at any level, it also means that some OS specific features may be unavailable.
The Lumia 1020's 41MP camera has been blamed for needing to handle too much data to make it feasible to have it benefit from the Denim firmware's camera speed improvements.
Those are the sort of "features" I expect won't be available in all phones. Things which either logically can't be enabled because the hardware to support it isn't there, or the rare exception cases like the 1020 where the hardware poses other limitations.
Granted, I could be way off base, as mentioned nothing official is out yet. But the implication that things will be cut rather than simply not supported implies MS is building custom versions of the OS for every handset which would be a move against everything Windows is trying to achieve with 1 OS for all devices.
If you have a brain you'll dismiss this sort of "journalism". It is people reading too much into something without sufficient information to draw those conclusions and which history doesn't support.
