STOP THIS IN ONLINE JOURNALISM!!!!
Hey, a non-CES related topic!
While looking through my news feed I stumbled across this article. It is titled "Actually, cold weather can give you a cold". The problem? It can't, and the article even states as much. Colder nasal passages *may* (note: not proven in humans) increase the reproduction rate of the cold and make it more likely you'll experience symptoms. Being cold will not magically give you a cold.
And guess what? This isn't even new information. Maybe some of the specifics or the means of testing are new. But we have always known that extremes of temperatures impact our bodies ability to fight off illness. So too do things like lack of sleep, stress and several hundred other factors.
I mean seriously people... this is not uncommon and that is a problem. The title of the article is a lie and a lie which the content confesses. Damn freedom of speech. I don't want people's rights taken away, but this sort of bullshit should have repercussions.
