Been a bit so... updates.
Firstly, Xbox One in Japan and other markets. I think MS needed to make the move. But I think that they needed to do it sooner. Most of the markets they are in that Sony isn't are big gambles, like China. This isn't going to give them an edge over Sony unless they get lucky and it is a much bigger hit than anticipated. In other markets where Sony was first, there is no longer any hype over this generation of console. That doesn't mean they won't make some sales, but I expected this to kill launch day sales, and in Japan this is exactly what happened. Also, even the PS4 isn't selling so hot in Japan.
EA Access added NFS Rivals which shows they are serious about the service. It is barely a month old I believe and they have already added another premium title. If I didn't already own this one I would have grabbed at least a one month membership to check it out. If they keep this up, it could eventually become a key differentiator for the Xbox One.
Another big news item for the Xbox One is the free Forza 5 weekend starting today. Remember when I said a digitally focused game store can offer things retail stores can't? This is exactly what I meant. Steam like free weekends for games. This is a fantastic idea and I hope it gains traction and keeps going on the Xbox One. Again, like EA Access, if done right this is the sort of thing that could actually sway people from a PS4 purchase if Sony doesn't answer in kind. But as usual, it requires that it be delivered properly. So only time will tell. Again, I already own FM5 so I won't be taking advantage of it.
This I guess is the problem with being an early adopter of a gaming console. Most deals on good games aren't applicable because I own most of the games I care for since there were so few when I first bought the console.
Lumia DENIM! Wow! I don't think it matters what subject you choose, trying to stick to a single subject and using that to choose alphabetical names is silly. Android make it to F before it resorted to Froyo, Ubuntu lost all respect at Intrepid Ibex but MS wins for bombing out 4 letters into the alphabet with Lumia Denim. What are they gonna use for 'E'? Ebony? They already have black. Just give it up people!
Not much depth to this post. But wanted to get those things out there.
