I may have been wrong...

The other day I looked at the market saturation for cell phones and considering the up and coming wave of smart devices I felt like we would reach a point soon where cell phones begin to suffer the same fate as all other tech that came before it. People would stop upgrading at the earliest possible moment and start primarily only upgrading cell phones as they die.

But then I read through the comments on this article.

And now I think I was wrong. Smart phones are still MUCH too polarizing a topic. And, even though the hardware isn't changing rapidly any more. People are still finding features, which they also feel are worth slamming other OS's over. As long as this many people are this passionate about their phone hardware, they likely aren't going anywhere any time soon. Even the PS4 vs. XB1 debates don't draw that much attention that quickly. Sure, there are always people willing to start these flame wars and people dumb enough to participate, but this one just goes on and on.
