Windows Phone 7 Development

Well, I finally started on my Budget application for Windows Phone 7. I can certainly say that I'm happy with how easy it has been so far. There were a few of the incredibly simple tasks which I had dabbled with when I first downloaded the SDK, but I had forgotten even them, and I hadn't taken them very far. Today, I have the foundation for a very solid application well on its way.

Things I have dealt with so far:
Basic UI elements - DUH.
Integration with Sterling Database - Cool and simple to use. Like it very much.
Page navigation - like UI, I had done this before, but I had forgotten this one and I threw passing data along with it which also turned out to be simple.

At this point, I have done enough with the application that I know I can do what I want for an initial release. The database layer works exactly as I had anticipated, and I have created and worked with every type of UI element I will need at this point.

Also, read up on some of Microsofts design standards. Actually resulted in me simplifying my application. Getting kind of excited for this.

Cheers!
Alex.
