Falling behind again
Work has been keeping me busy. Some stuff I was having enough fun with that I worked late last night on a few items. But then it had occurred to me that I hadn't done anything else with my side project. I haven't forgotten about it and I have been thinking about it. I simply haven't actually done anything about it yet.
Also, Veronica hit another bug in the software I wrote her. It's always the things we layer on after the fact that don't pan out the best. In this case it was an enhancement to track which customers are getting discounts and then to remember to apply them all of the time for that customer and when they are paying... I thought it was bullet proof but it appears that it isn't always working. So I need to fix that before any elevator project.
Also, Veronica saw some of the Silverlight screens I was working on last night and likes the idea now of a WPF or Silverlight version of her application. I'm still not a huge fan of Silverlight 3, so I'm still waiting on a .Net 4 version of SQLite, but that is another project back on the table I guess.
So, I'm going to set myself another deadline to keep the ball rolling. Wednesday of next week. Gives me quite a few days I suppose. In that time I want to design a Configuration class that will read in the parameters for the Elevator, define an Elevator object which will track a number of variables about its current status and has an interface that will accept commands to move up or down.
Got to head out to the store now... might make another post later, and I might not. Depends on how things go.
