Killing time...
Well, getting busy. Work is picking up a bit, well not really, but it feels that way. I'm accomplishing some interesting things. Also, picking up some work on the side, which is also keeping me busy. Strange the way life happens, not truly looking forward to this particular "work on the side" but it is a potential challenge and I seem to be almost uniquely qualified to work on it. That also bears with it the possibility that people may come to depend on me for it. I have a day job and want to start a business, so this is more of a potential inconvenience than a boon really. But again, life is strange and it is at the least very interesting, bringing me back in contact with some software I happened to work with in my first real job as a programmer. Though honestly, I don't think anyone wishes a few years after to look back upon the quality of work they did in their first months in a profession.
Anyway, it seems like the genetic algorithm stuff is on hold for a bit, I want to branch out and pick back more of the AI stuff I had worked with before along with some of the stuff (like neural nets) that I didn't really get into before. I think a good fuzzy logic application is in order for the next one little programming endeavour. Problem with fuzzy logic for me was always that really interesting applications for it were always really hard to find. Idiotic ones are incredibly easy to find. Not to say that there is no merit in the simple things, just that it wouldn't make for a very informative project for me.
Or perhaps I should dig up my notes from my AI class and go a bit in order here with some examples. We'll see where things go I guess.
