A blog and a project.
Life is strange. In a good way. 10 years ago I never would have seen myself where I am today. I get to write code for a living. 10 years ago this wasn't one of my dreams, but I think I'm happier today than I would have been doing the sorts of things I would have seen myself doing today as of 10 years ago.
To get on, I'm starting this blog to follow my coding as a past time. Spent a bit of time today browsing the web while looking for solutions to my current problems and found a lot of answers and insight in blogs and it seemed like a good outlet to organize my thoughts and perhaps help others along the way.
The current project I'm working on is a standalone application for handling invoices and reporting in a small business. It started out as an application for a specific purpose but I'm now trying to re-work it and reduce it to a core product which can be extended for other local businesses. Ultimately the goal is to produce something built on freely available software so that there are no hidden costs to the end user while still providing a quality solution.
The first couple posts will be about the past iterations and experiences that brought me where I am at whatever point it is that these blogs finally catch up to the code.
